I was preparing to barbecue this weekend at our weekend home in Pennsylvania and suddenly I had a yen for a sweet, tangy BBQ chicken. I rooted through the cupboards and came up with this concoction…not all that different from many homemade recipes but I was really happy with the results. I even spread some on the hamburgers and that worked nicely too. I’m going to make this one again this weekend.
Andrew’s Pennsylvania BBQ Sauce
1 1/2 C. Ketchup
1/2 C. Apple cider Vinegar
3/4 C. Water
3 Tbls. Brown Sugar or Maple Syrup
2 Tbls. Worstershire Sauce
Black Pepper to taste
1/4-1/2 tsp. salt
Cayenne pepper to taste
Dash of Tabasco
