Idiom Cafe Vol. 2

George: I really have a beef with the way congress wants to have their cake and eat it to regarding health care.

Millie: The lobbyists and special interests really have them eating out of their hands.

George:  All I know is the only eating that’s going on is me being eaten out of house and home by my medical bills.

Millie:  They must think we all fell off the turnip truck.

George:  In a nutshell, even if this bill passes, we’ll still be singing for our supper.

Millie: Is half a loaf is better than no bread at all?

George: These guys are all out to lunch and what they are cooking is a recipe for disaster.

Millie:  What a bunch of bananas.
